Invidia all the way

 

I have no idea about the other exhaust options, but I will tell you I am very happy with my choice of going with FI.

Like others have mentioned, I told Tony I wanted that coupe sound and didn't want it to be too loud or heaven forbid ricey and he recommended to start off without the HFC. I got exactly what I was looking for, though I will say that it seemed a bit too loud until I broke it in.

I have yet to purchase the HFC, but my ears did perk up a bit when I read he has a ceramic option. I may do that at some point.

 

/\... yeah, I've been on the fence since I got the exhaust put on.

For me, I have a hard time removing perfectly functional cats. At some point, they will need replacing and when they do, they'll be FI's ceramics.

The clips posted in this thread are the closest you will find to a representation of the system, but they do NO justice at all. You truly have to hear it in person or just take the plunge on blind faith as I did.

 

I've never heard any of these exhausts in person, but from all the YouTube videos I've watched, the FI sounds the best. For those that have it, do you guys get any rasp or drone at any RPMs with the FI exhaust???

 

Also, can someone PLEASE answer my question...Is the FI (without HFC) louder than the g37 stock coupe exhaust???

 

There is ZERO rasp or drone. It's one of the things that makes the FI as popular as it is.
My sedan is very quiet... quieter than a coupe... until I get on it. Then my guess is it's a bit louder than the coupe... but only at WOT.

With HFCs, your sedan will be louder than a coupe.

 

Any chance that a sound clip exists of the catback with the ceramic HFC's?

 

I'm going to kick an old thread here...It's been almost 4 years since the last post on this that I have seen.I may have fried 1 or both of my cats today and will need a replacement. I am leaning pretty far twords the FI cats is there any newer input regarding these? Recommendations on either the HFC OR resonated cat pipes from FI?
