If it's your first time, I'd do a drain/refill. Then at the next 4 consecutive oil changes do a drain/refill.

If it's been done in the past, a flush as described in the FSM should be okay. Note I said per the FSM, not a machine flush like many dealers push..

Complete flush per FSM is about 33% more than the capacity, which is 10.875 qts.

did a drain tonight and surprised so little came out... about 3.5Q hot atf. filled in 2.5Q maticS (to compensate since hot atf expands and my dip stip showed previously my tranny was abit overfilled anyways.

fluid darker red but not alarmly dark. i was going to do the transfer case also tonight but when i realized i had to rip out the underpanel, i said FORGET THAT! haha

thanksgiving weekend im going to drain/fill again.

^ I would wait for fluid to cool next time so you can get more out.

whats interesting is i got about 3.5Q the first time then went out for dinner. second time opened drain nut again to see if any fluid collected again on the pan, still barely driller after about over an hour sitting in the garage.

we'll see how much comes out this coming weekend
