stock intake resinators

A while back I was putting the passenger side intake back in and broke the 90 degree plastic tube that goes to what I assume is a resinator. I tried gluing it a few times but I would rather just cover the hole going into the intake box.. is this ok?

if im understanding this right then you are talking about the tube that goes to the resonator and then connects to the PCV(crankcase vent) tube from the engine on both intakes.

In that case i would recommend you connect the tube back since its required by the engine to dump some gases back into the intake other wise all the fumes from the PCV will enter only the driver side intake. If you only had one intake then it would be highly recommended to get the tube back on however here you can get away with it though not recommended. Some ppl plug the intake tube inlet and add a breather filter(smells terrible!) to the crankcase but thats not always safe since iv seen friends starting to develop condensation within the engine with lack of air taking out the fumes.

Im not sure if you broke the tube thats extruding from the intake tube or the resonator though, if its the resonator plastic tube then you may remove the resonator and connect the tube directly to the intake tube if you want.

hope this helps.

If you're talking about the 90 degree tubes that come out of the intake box itself then yes its ok, shouldn't be a big deal. The hole is located towards the front of the filter so any air picked up from the hole will still get filtered. The resonator boxes below the intake boxes are only for sound "muffling".

^ ya that would be fine but from what i understood i though he was talking about the breather elements that come out of the piping after the filter, and thats probably where i mixed up... if so then you should not have any problems...
