Ebay Y-Pipe?

So I was just searching around on Ebay and looking at some exhaust parts for the G and I stumbled upon this Y-pipe. I have read that the Y-pipes on the sedans are pretty restrictive and deaden the sound of the engine. My question is: Would this make my G louder? I already have a muffler delete. And would this give any increase in performance? Here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEGAN-EXHAUS...3D151389295257

It will increase the flow but that's one part of the exhaust that doesn't seem to affect the volume of the exhaust note. Rather than investing in a new Y it might be better to look into going w/ a true dual or an X pipe setup.

from what I understand the two most restrictive points in our exhausts are the cats and the resonater.
thinking about getting this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEGAN-EXHAUS...412630c2&vxp=m
but I would also need to get rid of the resonator for real improvement
I already got Berk HFCs.

Can anyone tell me what aftermarket resonators to use in place of the stock ones in the midpipe?I want to remove the stock resonators but I don't want the rasp that comes with it. Also I wanted to change the Y-pipe to an X-pipe but which X-pipe should I use? I've only seen a Magnaflow X-pipe online. Or should I have an exhaust shop make one? And lastly what diameters should the resonators and X-pipes be?

Everything in the stock exhaust is designed to keep it quiet. Therefore anything you do it is likely to make it louder. The rasp side effect seems to come along progressively with each mod. I have full exhaust from the headers to the y-pipe and out the exhaust. Rasp...Check. Louder...Check. Performance...I think so. Non-dyno verified. But it is probably minimal. Think of your y-pipe and dual muffler split as an extended X-pipe.

The factory exhaust rasps, but in cabin you just don't hear it. I think the best sound is with hfc and a 3" y pipe.

ok but does anyone know the exhaust diameters? is it a 2 inch pipe from the cats back? I want to get a x-pipe and some smaller resonators in place of the big ones in the midpipe. Can anyone give some suggestions as to what resonators to use in the midpipe? and for the x-pipe would a magnaflow 10790 work?

The whole system is 2.5".

Why would you add more resonators? Resonators are counterproductive to great flow. Just get rid of the resonator, replace it with a straight pipe and replace the stock muffler with a generic magnaflow muffler with the same inlet/outlet pattern. Top that with your intake mods (whatever filter you like, z-tube and motordyne spacer) and it sounds ***** out sexy with very little drone. Only drone I experience is when the motor is bogging up hills. Low rpm in 6th gear under load will create drone, but it will with stock exhaust somewhat also.

I wanted to add aftermarket high flow resonators in place of the old ones because I think it will be very raspy. But either way I already have muffler deletes so I already have a good amount of drone. But I just wanted to know if I should get the magnaflow x-pipe or not?

You have a sedan so unless you're planning to modify your exhaust to a dual set-up the x pipe won't work.
