Bad Maf sensor causing Ticking noise in engine ?

Hey guys ,
I'm new to the forum ,
I just bought a 07/08 G35s two weeks ago i bought it with a bad Maf sensor but i didn't have time to change it , i'm planing to change it next week ,
the first thing i did to the car is changing the oil and oil filter (5w30) Castrol Edge , i have a heavy foot ,i disconnected both MAF sensors and the engine was still running .
i started to hear a slight rattle or knocking noise from the passenger side from the engine a week ago is that caused from the bad MAF sensors or it's a mechanical issue ?
Also my Air filters needs to be replaced they are really old , i'm scared that my engine is going bad so any feedback would be helpful
here is a video explains the noise
Many Thanks

Sounds like you bought a lemon that someone filled with snake oil to keep the lifter tick or rod knock quiet enough so they could sell it.

Also, your lead foot + bad MAF sensors is going to quickly destroy that motor...

Using the wrong viscosity oil like that I'm not surprised you have noise coming from the engine, this isn't a diesel, ambient temperature doesn't affect operating temperature or operating fluid viscosity it only puts more strain on the cooling system, engineering tolerances determine total viscosity for the engine, ambient temperature determines which WINTER rating of oil to use.

Unless you have engine tolerances built for 20w-50 but that doesn't sound like the case, this is NOT a track car correct?

EDIT: If not a track car then switch back to 10w-30 for hot environments.

It's really hard to tell from a cell phone recording but I don't hear any unusual noise, you will hear SOME lifter noise on any engine, it's the nature of the beast, the BAD sounds are usually a very distinct TICKING sound from only a couple valves. Rod knock is another sound that is bad but I don't hear anything like that in the video.

Here is a great example of valve tick

Keep in mind those are both DE motors and not an HR like you have but the valve tick and rod knock sound the same on practically ANY motor.
