Need Help Identifying Replacement Filter Size for CAI
Need Help Identifying Replacement Filter Size for CAI
Hey everyone,
I recently closed on a deal with Weapon R for a WR Secret intake. They gave me a good discount and I like the looks of the intake. However, after reading some comments on a previous post of mine and with further research, it seems like their filters are not the best out there. For this reason, I am considering swapping the WR filters for AEM of aFe filters. However, I do not know what size to get.
The intake pipe is 3'' and I think the filter is 3x6.5x6.5. Does it really matter what size filter I get as long is it has a 3'' flang? I am a total newbie, so apologies if this doesn't make any sense. I understand that bigger is better for filters, but doesn't there reach a point where too big does not create enough of a vacuum for the intake?
If you can check out the filters below and let me know if they will fit in the engine bay with the intake, that would be so awesome.
Also, does it matter if the replacement filter has an offset or not?
Thanks for your time to read this and hopefully someone can help!
