Misaligned Pulley Assembly?

Cant seem to figure out why my tensioner assembly pulley is misaligned? It frays the end of the belt. i replaced the old tensioner assembly + idle pulley & belt thinking that was the problem but even with the new one its exactly the same as before. ive inspected all surrounding pulleys/accessories and they all seem to line up with everything else? Im out of ideas at this point. i suspect the metal bracket plate the tensioner mounts on is bent? It seems unlikely considering that plate looks strong & not something that would normally bend. Help my guys.. Below is a picture i took laying beneath the car looking up. Thanks for any input!

Don't post it as an attachment, just use the little "picture of the mountain" icon.

From that picture you posted it looks like that pulley is WAY out of alignment, use a piece of rope or string and go across the same outer groove in two of the pulleys that cross the tensioner then measure how far out it actually is.

It's possible there's something wedged BEHIND the tensioner that the previous owner didn't pull out, or that the tensioner was the wrong one.

I strongly doubt that's the actual OEM tensioner.

Its not OEM. Its a Gates from what info I've gathered.. I went to Infiniti USA/Nissan USA and found the OEM part number for the original tensioner, then used rock auto/amazon/autozone & much mores websites part finder to match the numbers and it comes back saying this part is a accurate generic part that fits the vehicle. I mean you still could be right I'm not expert and I'm surely not gonna rely on some generic website to give be the best info. Tomorrow I plan to go out there and do your rope method as mentioned and see what measurements that gets me. As I mentioned before, there is a little bracket located behind the tensioner that also has a accessory pulley attached that I suspect maybe bent. At this point its the only thing I can think of it being. I planned on sending it to a mechanic this Monday if I cant make something shake by Sunday. I'm from Louisiana, this storm set me back and I leave next week for vaca. Any input is appreciated bro ill be doing what I can all weekend.
