Changing the little orange bulb in the front headlight

The little orange light that that is right above the main headlight and just to the outside has burnt out. When I look at trying to replace it I could not seem to get my hand back there to pull the bulb out.

On the inside of the engine bay there is a way to access the back side of the headlight but it is rather small and I cant get enough range of movement to remove the bulb.

Has anyone tried to change this bulb? Do I have to remove the whole headlight assembly?

Thanks

No, the dealer will under warranty... Are you a long way from a dealer?

well if it is oem, dealers usually replace it for free saying that it is a new car.. i replaced mine with PIAA LEDs WHITEs.. all you do when you put your hand in there is push that black plastic wheel well (fender liner) thing down.. and it will give you enough room.. but remember to push it back up.

Ah so you went in from the outside of the car, the wheel well? I was trying to access it from inside of the engine bay. I just want to make sure before I start taking it apart.

I doubt very seriously that you can get in there from under the hood... it's bad enough getting to the fog lamps after removing the intakes...

You can SEE the little 194 bulb on the corner, removing/replacing/re-inserting it is almost impossible from topside for somebody with normal hands...

Take it from some one who replaced the HIDs all from the engine bay, it can be done, but it's a pain in the ****. Unscrewed both intakes obviously; pushed in the wheel well housing towards the tire (have to have the tire facing out (on the side you're working on); then used a little make-up mirror as my eyes. It might sound retarded, but it's actually not that bad to use. Either way, the first light (HID) took roughly 35-40 freakin minutes (due in part because I had no idea what I was going to do. See, I like when people say it can't be done, I'm the person who goes out and tries to do it. Anyways, all in all, would have probably be easier removing the tire, then poping out the plastic wheel well cover.
