steering column issue (motorized)
not necessarily. has to be proven to be a safety issue. we'll see. i'm thinking it will be a recall but you might be surprised and i've learned never to assume what a manufacturer is going to do based on just a few experiences that i know of.
so my dealer called. they got the new column, got it installed, but then it "overheated" and the motor died. so they are ordering a SECOND column, which is coming from the east coast and won't get here till tuesday.
holy poo! sounds like infiniti's source on those columns ain't so hot.

dealership techs do not like that message coming from the mothership. it means that either they are going to be doing a lot of that job, or somehow something got screwed up and even the factory has no idea how to fix it.
congrats, you're the second guy to stump the techs with a problem!

i think i'll ask my dealer what they actually told nissan today.
