fog light hacking

For US version we cannot turn on fog light without turning on the headlight. Any G35 guru here knows how to hack this?

KP technologies makes a module to control the fog lights seperately. Here's the link http://www.kptechnologies.com/

Ask him... he might do it. He works on the coupe stuff first because that's what he owns, so with the service manual and a test car he might be able to work something out.

I don't see the point of this modd since the G35 fogs are all in the headlight assembly if they were seperate then I could see a demand for this modd.

you don't need a "G guru" for this....

just rewire the relay that controls power to the fog switch to take signal from IGN instead of the headlight line.

that said, it is illegal to run fogs without heads.......

Well, I don't think I want it that way.
I want to use the stock switch to turn on the fog light and that is why I need help from Guru

Are you sure it is illegal since the grand cherokee turns on fog independently (2006)

its not that easy since the G uses alot of common wires to power the headlights, you won't be able to use the stock switch by just rewiring

KP was looking into building a module for this on our FXs. Might want to pm him and see if he can look into it for the G sedan.

TTrank is testing a sedan version of the KPtechnologies fog light module, but hasn't had any luck with it yet.
