I like the venturi horn (used this on my GTI). It will help give the MAF a cleaner signal and improve flow. The seal against the hood is a nice touch too to try to capture some of that airflow the stock box got. I'd powder coat them black and put K&N filters on to make it look better though.

Through my years of Nissan/Infiniti ownership, I've purchased a ton of JWT products. They've ALL been effective, reliable and top notch in every way.

I LOVED the dual pop charger on my 300ZX TT and I like what I see on this new dual pop charger for the G35. The heat shield and the 6" venturis are a nice touch. Who cares if they don't look like conventional cone filters?

Hmm, what makes a pop charger different from just dual intakes? Sorry, I am just not well versed on this topic.

thats pretty cool...I had a pop charger on my 06 coupe. Still liked my injen CAI better, but that was only based on the sound.

Im assuming this will sound very similar to stillen/fujita, but who knows. Cant wait to hear a sound clip.

Update I got today from JWT on the dual pop charger...

Hi Jared,
We do not have an official release date set yet on the 2007 G35 or 350Z JWT dual intake filter system. We will have the 350Z version ready sometime next month and the G35 version likely before this year is up. I will save your E-mail and notify you when I have an accurate date for you.

A little more info, FWIW:

At 08:17 AM 10/23/2007, you wrote:

Hi guys:
I have a 2007 G35x sedan with a VQHR engine (you knew that). Have you dyno'd the new dual POP charger on an '07 G35 sedan yet?

It looks like you're getting a ~5% increase in torque from 2500RPM up. Is that noticeable in every day driving?

Why no box over the filters like the stock or stillen intakes? WIll you have a custom heatshield for the G35?

Why not have a little more tubing in the kit to get rid of the stupid black flex tubing (which slows airflow), like this guy did here with some cheap parts from Autozone? https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ghlight=airbox

The sound means nothing to me, unless it's really loud, then I don't want it. How loud is it?

When is it going to be available?

Thanks!

Hi _______,
The dyno results for the 2007 G35 sedan should be very similar to the 2007 350Z with the dual intakes. See our dyno sheet information at the following link to our web site:

http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/new...opchargers.jpg

If you regularly run your engine above 2500rpm when accelerating, you would feel the slight increase in torque and hp. The throttle response should also be slightly improved. We will offer a heat shield system for the G35 just like our new 350Z system. It is not necessary to completely box in the filter elements as the trim on our heat shields closes off the area above our filters and the factory insulation and hood act as the top of the box so to speak so only cool air from the front is getting to the filters when you begin to roll.

The factory tubes behind the MAF sensor/box are a plastic material which is less likely to conduct heat into the engine than having a metal pipe which when hot, passes the heat directly to the engine. So for that, we chose to leave the OEM pipes and only add our new calibrated MAF tube with our Pop Charger system.

Note that the MAF tube is calibrated as this directly effects the air flow values to the ECU and if this was not correct in calibration, would throw off the air fuel ratio and timing.

The induction sound from having an open filter does increase with the elimination of the factory air filter boxes. We wouldn't call it too loud, rather a nice sporty, growl.

Our new dual system for the 2007 G35 is in development and might be available before the end of this year.
