Anyone experiencing jerkiness on off-throttle with 6MT?
Anyone experiencing jerkiness on off-throttle with 6MT?
At between 2-3K, when slightly lifting on the gas pedal, car would slightly buck as if the throttle is shut completely. This is not when accelerating but just cruising. Any ideas on this, or is this what's expected
? Thanks for any inputs, guys.

When I jab the gas, you can feel the lag between the pedal and the engine jumping to life. It's a byproduct of the electronic throttle bodies. I read in a car mag a year or two ago that they noticed this on the Maxima with the electronic throttle body. The lift off jerk is the this action in reverse combined with drivetrain slack. Sucks, huh.
Go to the dealer and ask for the Cruise Control Surge fix. Simple plug and fix fuel remap. Car drives completely differently now. Highly recommended.

i dont know about you, but you should feel it in my coupe in first gear!
i'm gonna need a chiropracter
jk, but it really is rough in first while driving around the parking garage at school.

I've noticed this too... If you're cruising and completely let off the gas, between 2-3k it will jerk into decel.
I've already gotten used to keeping my foot lighly rested on the gas pedal. It prevents it from jerking, and the throttle is so stiff that it doesn't result in any acceleration.

If you guys are referring to the quick deceleration in 1st gear when you let off the gas, it's normal. happens in practically all MT cars. i've owned 2 MT Maximas, 2 MT Accords, an old MT Pulsar, and they all did the same thing....

That was mentioned, but not the primary issue.
The issue w/ the hitch/decel between 2-3k rpm occurs in 2nd/3rd/4th/ect. when the throttle is lifted and the car is coasting through those rpm.

I see....It should still lug a little as MT cars normally do (e.g. engine braking), but should not be as noticeable as in 1st gear. hard to say if it's a "problem" or not on your specific cars though...
