I have an 08 G35, US model and I live in Canada. From looking at the service manual, it looks like the Daytime running lights is just a flag to turn on in the configuration of the ECU. I'm I off the track ?

I did a DRL conversion on an 08 coupe; let me know if you need help. Yes the DRL is controlled via the ECU; but there is no option to enable DRLs in the US firmware (as far as I know)

 

My car is now plated but no DRL, I guess who ever did the inspection was sleeping. If I could enable the option in the ECU I have no problem but I don't what to go into the car and start playing around. Thank you

 

np -- i've started to notice more and more cars without drls around; I cant see the cops concerned about it, so you are probably ok

 

I personally think everyone should have DRL. It's a big safety plus . I do hope the Police clamp down on non DRL.

 

can someone please explain how to enable drl use of thefog lights on the 07-08 lights. id really love to have my fogs as drl's. it migh be the one thing i love about bmw, lexus, etc. lol
