Just got a loaner that feels quicker than mine
agreed, this new generation is really fast. This week I have the keys to a very new 2008 G35x sedan. It has 5k on it, auto tranny, non sport. The acceleration is amazing, I just wonder how long the tires will last with all this power. Not too much noticeable wheelspin, but it feels so much more powerful than;
my 2003 5AT coupe
2005 g35 sedan automatic
2006 g35x sedan automatic
46hp more than the old ones? woo hoo!!!!!!!

Street races prove absolutely nothing...(with that being said they can still be exhilirating, esp. if you win
) You pulling on him says nothing about the cars but says a lot about the drivers. The only street races that matter are the ones that are performed in a truly scientific matter, which would involve the two of you switching cars and racing again with all of the variables remaining identical to your first run. You can only say one car's performance is definitely better than another car's performance after performing a series of runs under the same conditions. You didn't even comment on the specifics, like how you raced (D, DS, Paddle shifters, DS and manual shift) and we don't know what he did either... All those little things matter before you can say you were surprised how badly you pulled on another car, esp. one that is virtually identical to yours...
