Just got a loaner that feels quicker than mine

Dropped my G off this morning for an oil change and they gave me an 08 G35 non-sport. I swear the car feels quicker, lighter and more nimble than mine. What gives?

Most likely beaten on more than your car, so that car's ECU has adapted aggresively.

Or could be the 2008 ECU has a new updated map, and is superior to the map in your 2007's ECU?

It may have the original throttle ramp ECU program. Also, certain tires make a big difference on feel

^ I agree - my 07 has the original ECU program and felt much more aggressive than the 08 rentals

This is a little off topic, but I had a loaner car (2007 g35 sedan) and I was really suprised when I smashed on that bitch.

If the loaner is a Base G35, the difference in acceleration you are getting is because of the lighter weight. I have a 2007 Base G35 and I raced a Sport G35 Automatic. I pulled almost two car lengths on the Sport model and I had an extra passenger. We were surprised at the difference in acceleration.

I'm going to race him again and tape it, and see if the outcome is the same. The guy is actually a member from the forum here. It would be a nice comparison.
