According to the factory service manual, there is a A/T fluid dipstick under the hood.

i checked the manual briefly, but didnt see anything, and i also didnt see any dipstick out in the open under the hood.

treacherous, great pics man i appreciate that. ill pull that engine cover and take a look. glad to hear it does in fact have a way to check the fluid level.

thats a familiar name, so im sure ive seen you on there.. im doing well. i spent a lot of years road racing actually, and ive taken the last 2 years off while saving for a house, and a wedding (coming up in april). i even sold my g1k racebike to help the cause. ive been itching to get back to the track, and i plan on picking up another bike next winter if all goes well. in the mean time ive been riding my crf450 when ever i get the chance. im still on gixxer almost daily checking things out and keeping it as organized as possible. not sure if you know everything that has happened behind the scenes the past couple months but the previous owner who was a friend of mine sold the site to a company called Vertical Scope. this company has purchased a lot of message boards out there and have made some changes. some for the good, and some not so good. its been tough making the transition as smooth as possible so the members dont feel or notice the switch over. anyhow its always good to see another gixxer member around..
