Anyone ready to go TT on their HR?

I shared this in myG37 while we were down, so I'll post it here as well. This is the emailed response to my request for quote for a TT install at GTM:

Hi Terry here is the total price for you hr turbo kit install and tuned

the total will be$ 14990.00 + tax

this will include the following:

GTM-HRG35AT-TURBO KIT STAGE 1 - $6254.00
F CON VPRO INSTALL WITH KNOCK AMP DUEL WIDE BAND SENSOR - $4175.00
TUNNING - $600.00
FUEL SYSTEM - $1261.00
LABOR - $2700.00
TOTAL - $14,990.00

I was told verbally this system includes intercooler, injectors, single BOV and would be set up for stock internals. He said our HR motor should easily do 400Hp to the wheels.

Is anyone thinking of stepping up to the plate?

15k is way to much for a turbo......just trade in the G + 15k for a z06

15k is realistic.

Most people only factor in the COST of the turbo kit when they go turbo. Then they have issues and end up spending 20k to get it done right.

ANYONE planning on going turbo should be ready to spend at least 10k to get it done properly.

I asked about the G37 swap because I found an engine (well, really the whole totalled G37S) and figured whats another couple grand on top for more displacement? Unfortunately, the VHR is differrent enough from our HR to make things complicated.
