If you are looking for a big custom lip, take a look at I-forged.

Why buy an X if you're just going to pull the fuse and disable the awd. Seems like a waste of money to me. From what ive seen, the 2nd gens arent that simple to disable the awd system. But then again, why spend the extra on an X if when you shoulda just got a regular rwd model.

I can't help you re: rims, I know nothing about that stuff. sorry
You can't disable the 07/08 awd with a fuse. search, there are threads on it from last year.

No need to disable the AWD. Just run the same diameters at all 4 corners and you can go with staggered widths with no problems.

with iforged wheels you can get the same width on the rims but a "staggered" lip, for example 2" front and 3" rear lip.

I don't know much about mechanics of an "X" but I would think the offset not just the tire width might throw a wrench in your plans. As someone said before, you can have a staggered look with I Forged and run 8.5's Front and Back for instance with different lip sizes. Make sure your wheels are center front and back with identical offsets. I'd imagine if the back wheels gave you a wider stance, that may cause a gearing problem when turning. As I said I'm no expect, but check into that...

just FYI a member on the FX boards has an AWD FX45, and runs staggered nismo wheels (LMGT4's) with no problems at all. the AWD systems on the cars are the same so maybe you wont have a problem.
