PICs from install of Garmin GVN-52
Just installed the Garmin GVN-52 like some other people here.
Everything is working well so far.
Took some pics along the way.

Some are out of order but you get the gist.

I have been considering this for a fairly long time. The bypass is already done.

the music is playing through the ipod. theres a module that i setup wuth the gps, so normally, the ipod will play but when the gps has something to say, it will mute the ipod input and play the gps.
i wish they made the module for the entire cd/fm/aux thing. but its not created yet.
so far, the gps is pretty cool. it beats looking at a different screen for directions and different one for music. if u listen to ur ipod alot through aux, this is very good for you. if u listen to cd's, it might be a hassle to swtich back and forth. as for xm, u can get the xm wire and just add that to garmin and play it from there..

More Questions (if you don't mind):
1. Am I correct in assuming that if you choose a destination, then switch back and forth between AUX(GPS) and radio/CD, that the GPS is still running and directing you toward your destination? If that the case I will probably install a GVN.
2. How good is the RF remote?
3. Can you add waypoint/locations or routes directly into the unit via a SD memory card?
4. Can you recommend a reliable and competitive priced place to purchase or did you purchase yours via private sale like on Ebay?
Thanks

i can probably answer some for you
1. yes, it's always on when the car is on
2. i have the unit in the trunk, and the rf remote works very well in the car, you just need to get used to inputting address thru the remote, if you're an expert texter via number keypad, it should be easy
3. probably, i've never actually taken it out after the initial map install...
4. ebay is where i got mine, there are lots of gray markets, not sure who is reliable...
