not sure, not sure if there's that much technology advancement in nissan vlsds, but if people really want lsds, go aftermarket, there's a big difference, had kaaz 2 way on my old car, that sucker is loud, haha

Well even the difference between a Quaife and a Kaaz is huge! But Kaaz being a clutch style, yeah, it'd be loud

If it's an Open Differential it can NOT be a Viscous Limited Slip Differential.

and a Viscous LSD is the best option when it comes to limited slip differentials. A VLSD also lasts longer than most other types as long as the fluid is changed regularly.

A VLSD is the *lease intrusive* of LSD designs; it has no whine, chatter, or harsh engagement.

It is also the lease effective of LSD designs, and wears out rather quickly.

no, it is the worst of all LSD's, the fluid encased inside within the differential has a special fluid that cannot be replaced and will wear out over time rendering it ineffective, basically making it into an open differential.

best LSD's IMO is clutch/mechanical type, those can be rebuilt, and basically last longer than most people own their car, I've owned all for the same car, open diff, vlsd and clutch type lsd, and no question the clutch type has the best engagement.

yeah, buy an aftermarket one once they come out, lol, especially if you plan to drift (by your screen name)

but get the car on a lift, so you can spin the rear wheels, have on person spin forward, and have another spin the other one rearwards, if it is difficult, then you have vlsd, compare it to another car that you know that has open diff and do the same thing, it should spin freely

doing donuts doesn't really tell if you have vlsd

or somehow drive to a place where one of the rear wheels is off the ground, a vlsd should kick in towards the other wheel thats on the ground, open diff will just spin the wheel thats off the ground, logically that sounds correct, but i've never actually tried this method, lol
