Replacing Stock Non-Nav Unit with Nav-Unit...

I found a good deal on an OEM nav-interface for our car....I was wondering if I needed anything more than just the navigation screen w/ controls and bezel...

i'm not sure but i'm pretty sure u'd need EVERYTHING that's in the center stack: navi screen, control, radio, harddrive etc.... Plus you'd need the antenna, as far as wiring, i don't know. I would think all the VSS wire and what not should be in the factory harness....

I think you will need the DVD HU as it possibly contains the HD required for the GPS maps. They cost ~$1200 at Riverside Infiniti. Antenna, Steering wheel control (if you want it) and a few mounting brackets may also bee needed.

Yes....completely. This is a non-starter for several reasons...that being just one. It's possible, but no where near as easy as a HU swap like some people are hoping for.

This is pretty much the whole center console.....as the BT implementation in the Nav and non-nav are different as well.....voice activation..even the steering wheels voice activation buttons are different... I would say no go...

^^Have you confirmed the different harness or are you assuming.
Not that I would do it. It's just a waste of $ IMO.

to the guys saying there is a different harness....there might be a slight possibly of it bein different, but why in the world would infiniti do that? do you think it is very cost-effective to have a different harness for all the cars without navi? that makes no sense....

take dodge for example...i'm sure all of you have seen the 6 cylinder chargers on the road...those 6 banger chargers all have two cutouts for mufflers in the rear bumper when it only has one muffler on the 6 bangers...this is an example of what car companies do in order to save manufacturing costs...domestic companies aren't the only ones doing this, and if it wants to be argued...infiniti is basically a domestic company

I just looked at the 07 Sedan - AUDIO, VISUAL & NAVIGATION SYSTEM manual and confirmed that the Terminal layouts (PINS) in the harnesses for the BOSE AUDIO WITHOUT NAVIGATION and the BOSE AUDIO WITH NAVIGATION, are unfortunately, very different.
I looked in section named ECU Diagnosis-->AV Control unit
Psedog's Manuals

+1 confirmed the harness on the car is different (eg harness pin 36 vs pin 106 for parking brake signal)

EDIT: I was also told by the project manager at Bose that Infiniti has 2 different versions of the A/V control unit from 2 different suppliers.
