reset the ecu and you should be fine as long as you did not play with any of the SRS wires, which are marked yellow. Eother do the battery method where you loose all your settings and preset or do the peddle reste easier and better.

NOTE: DURING THE ENTIRE PROCESS YOUR CAR SHOULD NOT BE STARTED.
1)turn car to ON position, by pressing ignition button twice without foot on brake/clutch(NOT Start!)
2)Right after you hear the third beep from the car, fully press and release the accelerator pedal 5 times(in-out 5 times)
3)Wait 7 seconds then floor the gas pedal and hold for 10 seconds. After that 10 seconds the SES Light will start to blink slowly.
4) Release the pedal and floor it again and hold for 10 seconds.
After these 10 seconds the SES light will disappear then begin to flash much more rapidly.
After you have done the following turn the car off and then back on. The ECU is now reset!!

2. If you do have you air bag light stay on this reset proceedure does work. I had to use this procedure.

Courtesy earth0:

Quote:
Turn the key to the on position and watch the airbag light. It should stay solid for 5-7 secs, and then turn off, and then start to flash.

To reset the light, you must turn the key to on, watch the airbag light stay solid for 5-7 secs and as soon as the airbag light turns off, turn the key to the off position (you have to turn the key to off before the airbag light starts to flash, or you must start over). You need to repeat this 5 times. Try to start the car, and hopefully the light will be reset

This does work. What happened is you probably disconnected the airbag with the battery still connected or connected the battery while th airbag was still out.

Good luck.

What do you mean different colors???

I don't think I disconnected the airbag with the battery still connected nor connected the battery while the airbag was still out.

+, that method doesn't seem to work... I tried that first (first thing came up on google when i searched it).

As for the colors, I have a black interior and i got wheat color.... errr... sooo frustrated...

Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks in advance.

You better get that checked by the dealer for free, it could be something serious! as long as you didnt mess with any wiring they should not be able to tell that you opened the steering color.

I dont know if any cares but I went to the dealership and they said my airbag needs to be replaced, wires has to be replaced.... all the parts in the wheel... ... not sure how that happen... and they are charging me as well...

I just feel weired that how unhooking the wire for airbag would mess up the whole airbag... oh well...

Thanks for the help.

Wow, sorry to here that. I just dont believe your dealer though. Im sure the your car is at the dealer so its a done deal but I would get a second opinion. Im not doubting how hard you tried and you skill level to reset it but I can only belive it just needed to be reset properly.

Good luck
