Mysterious Death...

of my engine last week. I was driving to an appointment and then with two miles from my destination my dash board went on like a XMas tree and my engine died. Rolled to side of the road and tried restarting. (2007 G35S w/ 25K miles). Nothing. Dropped it off last week at the dealers and to this day they still cant figure out what went wrong. Got a call today saying they ordered me a brand new engine and should be arriving from the East coast come Friday. Car should be up and running on Monday next week. Once I find out more details, I'll post up. Crazy.

It happens!
It wasn't an Infiniti or anything, but I bought a 98 Firebird, used with about 22k miles on it. After owning the car for a few months, I found a piece of paper behind the glove box and it was a warranty slip from the dealership, stating that the original engine was replaced after 12k miles due to an unknown malfunction.

Weird huh?? Make sure they do everything correct the first time and inspect your car for damage, cuz it's a big job I'm sure!

(for example, my firebird was drive-by-wire and after I hit about 30k miles, the wire snapped!! I found out it was because the engine was not 100% in the same spot that the original was and caused the wire to rub against metal, causing it to break after a long while.....)

Wow man thats weird no nosie nothing just died.. Just lit up?? Sounds like a ingnition problem possiable some thing with the ECU reading the push button start. I hope the new motor fixes it.. Well new motor FTW. New engines are not that uncommon. My 04 350Z with 12k was replaced for the all to well known oil consumption.

Dead and Buried....!

This kinda thing has been happening since the first car rolled off the assembly
line. All it takes in someone making a mistake during assembly, over tightening or forgetting to. Or it could be a quality issue like with the REVUP
motors and poor quality rings....that one has cost Nissan a bundle!
