+1 The only way to keep out the Bad air is to turn on the circ air with A/C ON which is we all complaint about.

 

+10 Try driving on I 10 from Los Cruses NM to Elpaso TX recirculate works wonders.

 

G35driver.com is the shizZLez!!! Okay, sorry, "new guy" here. I just signed up today but have been doing extensive research since I got my car May '08.

Now on to the question at hand, I found you can get "fresh air" without having the A/C or the fan on (i.e. letting fresh air enter without the fan running). To do so:

1) Press OFF to shut off the fan
2) Press MODE to select how you want the fresh air distributed
3) Use Temp. dial to set the temperature

You will notice the on-screen display will NOT show the "fan" meter icon and the A/C will not turn on.

I just got my G a couple weeks ago and I asked this very same question in my New User thread..

Whenever I push the Auto/Econ the AC button turns on, and the same with the Defroster.. Here in MA its cold and I dont know why the A/C turns on! I dont have the user manual, so I couldnt refer to it. =) but i'll try this info posted.
