VCU and slip light comes on
VCU and slip light comes on
Sup, guys
I have a G35X 07', and I've noticed a couple times that both the VCU and slip light will go off and stay on until I stop the vehicle and restart the engine. This occurs sometimes when I push the car and sometimes I notice it when I'm driving. Is this an electronic issue or should I not worry about it? Sometimes, the emergency brake light comes on and stays on. What do you think guys?

I have an 07 G35x and even in this crazy Ohio snow, I never experience the slip and or brake lights staying on lights. You need to take this to the Infiniti dealer and have them check it out.
I have the same problem and asked my dealer about it.
My rear pads are starting to get to the point where they need replacing. The dealer says that when the pads start to run low, the VDC/Slip lights may come on and stay on.
I call BS as he was unable to tell me how the car determines when the pads are low. I'll play his game and replace my rear pads and when it occurs again, I'll call him out on his BS. If this goes away, I'll know he was right.
The VDC fires the rear brakes way more than one would think. This causes the rear pads to wear faster than I would have expected. My fronts still look brand new, but the rears are pretty close to needing replacement.
Are your rear pads low?

Yup, you're right.
Looks like low brake fluid causes this, so maybe my service guy wasn't talking out of his a$$ after all.
I guess there's a first time for everything!
j/k'ing... really
