2nd Update!! the light came up again!!!

ABS,VDC and Slip Light came on!!! I check Brake Fluid level and it's up to Max already.I guess i need to bring the g to the stealership.Any idea what's going on?

Yeh! Just found this link from our G memeber.I think the different is that i got
3 light came on. VDC,ABS and Slip light.He mention about the Brake Lamp Fuse!

Just check Brake Fuse and all other.Nothing wrong at all.Time to bring it to the stealership.I need to make an appointment with them atleast 7 days in order to get a loaner (only 2 loaner in Manhattan dealer... WTF!! )

BTW Mine Brake Pad is looking ok.Brake Fluid also ok.No fuse Damage.Will see!

No result! since all the light go off like 2 days before the appointment date until now still no light.so i did not take the g to the stealership yet.
I hope no more light!! It's runnig great in past couple day.

Mann!! Mine wife and me drove pass the Subaru STI Dealership this morning.I'm consider to get 2010 model with 320HP if the G continue with ploblems!

 

I pulled the car decently hard, not all the way and the SLIP and VDC lights came on and stayed on, I remember seeing this thread a while ago so when i had a chance at a red light i turned the car on and off it went away, No lights for he rest of the day. I remember my friend and my dealership telling me that my rear pads are wearing out and I should change them by the end of summer. Don't know whats really going on but i'll wait on it for now.

 

Update! As of today May 7th still no light!
continue finger cross.Can anyone give me an idea when should i change the brake pad.I got it Brand New from March 2008 with normal driving with 8900mi
on it now.Thanks!!

I would think your brake pads will be good for quite a while yet.

I purchased my 07 G35X in Dec 06 and have 40,000 kms (24,000 miles) on it now. The brakes are still fine even though I had to add less than 2 ounces of brake fluid to keep my VDC/Slip/Brake warning lights off.
I am fairly easy on my brakes. If my light comes on again I will definitely check the brake wear as that is an indicator that they are wearing.
I will be getting them checked again later this summer or if I notice my brakes behaving any differently.

Oh, I must add that I get them serviced once a year (disassembled, cleaned and caliper pins and slides lubed)

 

Thanks for you advised GEE35X. 24000mi is reasonable enough to be replace brakepad.Since i have read many posted The Stealer always mention to have BrakePad change if the light came on as warning.
