Oh - one weird thing. All of the Michelins I've used so far have been well-balanced; the Goodyears seem to be harder to balance, and you can hear that they're not perfectly round? Odd, but the tire place confirmed that Michelin has the lead here, and other brands just aren't as good.
If you get the Michelins, make sure you get the Pilot Sport A/S b/c the summer times SUCK in the rain and hydroplane even with decent tread on them. I got the Pilot Sport A/S and there was a huge difference in wet weather handling. Plus, they are rated to 45,000 miles and have a very stiff sidewalls. When i wear down my crappy bridgestones, i'm going with the pilot sport a/s.

26k is great for any max summer performance tire.

If you want a cheap summer performance tire, go with the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo k110. They are probably the best bang for buck tire out there [max performance].

WOW That's good! I drive spirited, not overly agressive and my rears are down to the TWI's after 10K miles. the fronts will also not last beyond 15K miles.
