The carfax lists it as neither salvage/junk/rebuilt, so I don't know what it means by "auto auction." Had it not stated that, I would say it was a salvage title, but it isn't.

From the pics, I think it's mislabeled as it looks to be a 6MT. I see 4 pedals here:

Plus, the shifter boot looks bigger than mine in another pic. I'm not positive, but it looks like a 6MT.

Nah I think to the far left is just where you rest your foot. I've looked at some other carfax for their cars and some were shipped to a dealer for their first thing. This one just said registered as to an owner. I hope it has service records for it somewhere. Some of the carfax have every oil change listed, these don't..I'll ask them about the service records. I'm guessing based on that carfax that someone bought it with 15 miles on it, and that was all was said about it from that "source". I'm just wondering why it didn't say it was shipped to a dealer first. Plus the no service records in those first 12k miles on the carfax.

Nope, 4 pedals. I looked at my brake pedal, and it's only about 5-6" wide. From the angle the pic was taken, I can't see my pedal as it's shown.

Compare these two pics too:

5AT:

The dealer's car pic:

You can clearly see there's no indicator to show what gear you're in, and the leather boot is much larger. It's gotta be a 6MT.

I didn't even see that little bit of pedal. That's a very good point. I checked the dealer's website and it says 6-speed on there. Autotrader mislabled it, but the dealer has it correct.

absolutely a six speed. Look for the way the center console curves into itself under the air conditioning buttons. The 5AT curves out towards the driver.

That's a good eye. I'm still paranoid about buying a used manual car, even if it is only 12k miles. What if it was like 40k miles, would yall still buy one of these?

Even if it's got 12k, you still got the remaining factory warranty left. If it was a 1 owner car, I wouldn't be too worried.

When you test drive it you should be able to tell how the clutch is. If it's showing signs of slipping, you can always use that to bargain the price down

Just so you know, the 07/08's are G35's while the 09's are G37's. The G37's have a larger V6 with 328hp vs. 306 on the 07/08's. Also, the G37's have a 7spd auto trans vs. a 5spd on the 07/08's. The 7spd trans is supposed to be worth 1-2mpg. Also, the larger Akebono brakes are only available with the Sport package on the 09's. However, the Sport package on the 07/08's do have upgraded brakes compared with the base model.
