I don't know if this is related to this in any way but sometimes my car locks itself for some reason. It happens when the car is off for couple of hours and I forgot something inside the car so i press unlock twice and then after I close the door, after about 20-30 seconds, I hear the clicks and the doors locked. Of course the key is in my pocket and Im out of the car. Never troubled me but kind of weird, happened to anybody else or is my G the special edition?

 

I've never seen this happen before in any of my infiniti's (m35, g35 and fx35). I leave the key in the car constantly on accident and always come out of the car and instinctively I lock the doors but the car never lets me - same with the m35 and the old fx35. My cars have never locked themselves either but I also NEVER fiddle with the manual locks inside the car so I never leave it to chance that maybe somehow I left it in the lock position accidentally. If this happens this may be in that small percentage where the system lacks.

I consider this system pretty foolproof, at least it's definitely the easiest keyless system I've used (haven't used too too many though lol) and certainly handles at least most of the issues keyless entry would bring with it.

 

im not complaining about the system i think its great i would like to be able to trust mine all the time haha

also i never touch the inside manual locks either...Ever!

Why in he11 would you guys leave your iKey in the car in the first place?

 

im really not worried about someone breaking my garage door opened while im home and trying to steal my car..i like to think i live in a decent area.....but my garage is def the only place i ever leave the keys in the car...its usually when im in the garage cleaning my car or doing yard work.
