The dash displays "service engine soon". i regularly change my own oil and do most mods myself. I was wondering if around 28,000 miles this "reminder" comes on to signal the upcomming 30 k service. Anyone at 28,000 miles yet?
If it comes down to it, will have to bring it in for service.

 

I don't think it's a normal service reminder.

It is normally to indicate fault conditions.
I know mine tripped when I didn't have the gas cap tightened up properly.
A code reader will tell you what the probems is.

 

^+1 it could be something simple as a gas cap or something quite serious as well so i would also suggest going to nearest autozone or similar and getting the free code read asap and then take it from there
