We need a writeup on this: V Foglights

Can someone do a writeup on hotwiring the foglights so they stay on whenever you turn the parking lights on? I dont think it'd be real hard but I have no clue which wire goes to what but im sure there are some people here that know. This question gets asked alot on this board and it'd be nice to have a writeup on this. Someone PLEASE DO THIS.

This is the closest I have seen:

These are daytime running lights, i know not the same but perhaps the relay provider has something for your request.

it really should be as simple as splicing from the wire that trips the parking light relay to the one that trips the allow-the-fogs-to-turn-on relay. pardon the lack of technical jargon

anyone have a wiring schematic for that bit?

krazzyguju - This maybe a little late but I'm in the loop above - did the DRL on conversion noted above
Daytime Running Light aka DRL Set Up (US Models)
...I'd go the safe route and order a Fog Light module from KP Technologies. This will allow independent control of the fogs (my mod does that but the end result is a Canadian G35 with true DRLs)
Link to the product at KP Tech: http://www.kptechnologies.com/products.php#/12
NOTE: Kevin at KP does not yet list it for the 2007 G35 Sedan but he does for the 2008 Sedan...I'd check with him but my experience with my friend's 2007 G35x tells me it'll work on both if it works on one...

All you would have to do is make a harness with a 4 pin relay. Using the switched on power (for the relay) and connect it to the wiring for the parking lights, and hook the relay up to your battery (12v source) and a ground. This way when you're parking lights are on, your fogs will be turned on via the switched on power from the parking lights, and stay on even when the headlights are switched on.

For exmaple,
pin 1-switched on power from parking lights
pin 2- 9006 plug going to fog lights
pin 3- 12v to battery
pin 4-chassis ground
