I got them from the link that was posted earlier, advancedautomotiveconcepts.com they had them in stock and shipped today. with shipping it was close to 3 bills tho.

http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...S&Category=171

also, he said they'd be completely plug and play, no stripping, wiring, nothing. they'd plug right into the stock 9006 plug for power and then the bulb slides right in stock spot.

OH WELL TO EACH HIS OWN.
glare is glare, doesn't really matter what color it is.

I think 3000k hid actually has more lumens output then 6000k.

EDIT: Just checked and it's actually higher then 4300 as well

I got a set of yellow supposed "3000k" bulbs for my fogs and they suck. just look like a normal bulb running off a battery thats dying. I think the HID will yield much better results

Here is a chart of K vs. lu
3000K = 4000lu
4300K = 3200lu
6000K = 2900lu
8000K = 2450lu
10000K = 2200lu
12000K = 1800lu

let me know how the luminics are, some people really seem to like them so if you think they give off a nice look maybe i'll grab a set rather then pulling the trigger on HID fogs

That chart is far from accurate, for instance the philips ultinon 6000k bulbs that are normally used by members here only put out 2400 lumens

i think actual lumen output is going to vary from bulb mfg. to bulb mfg. just throwing that out there.

it may not be accurate on the specific lumen output, but it is helpful in showing the correlation between different color temps and output. so while the numbers may be off, you can see that 3000k would indeed have greater output then 6000k

not 100% sure now, but I'm fairly positive the ones I ordered from AdvancedAutomotive were using the Mcullough ballasts. I think 80% of the quality HID systems use those ballasts, even some of the more well known lighting companies.

the Kelvin Scale measures color not brightness. The brightness is actually inversely proportional to the light output. 4500K HID is technically the brightest and the further you increase or decrease from 4500K the lumens (visible light) will slightly decrease.
