BASE ACURA TLX NOW WANT A G35 AGAIN THOUGH
*** Head Count of Former ACURA TL or CL Owners ***

I've had acuras and honda since I was 17.
WOW That was a Loooooooooooong Asssssssssss time ago...Anyways, I've owned a 1991 Acura Integra GS, 1990 Legend LS, and a 2002 TL-S. I was going to keep that until it started falling apart on me.

I got so frustrated with the car I got me a "G"! BYE BYE ACURA! My tranny had to be '"re-ordered" and was in the shop for over a month...the rotors went, the speakers blew and the cd changer was replaced...All within under 25K miles.

Did any previous TL/CL owner's had this problem and traded it up for a G?

2001 CL Type-S Former owner here. My Tranny went out at 42,000 While i was up there in The bay area. had it towed to Stevens Creek Acura and I flew home to LA. I picked it up 2 weeks later. My Confidence in HONDA was shook to say the least. We were a former honda family 5 Honda and Acura's total. My Aunt was Enployed by Honda, Her Employee Number was #3 She was the 3rd Person picked up by Honda WAY WAY back. So we were MORE than the Average Honda Family. I HAPPILY renounce my Former Screen names MUGENH22A and TypeSJDM.........

Well....as for me...
went from an 84 bmw 528e, to a 94 VTEC Lude, to an 02 TL Type S and now to my G coupe....
actually I still have my TL...waiting for somebody to buy it
Funny thing is...Tranny went out recently at around 46k miles on my TL-S...while it was in for a new tranny, decided to test drive the g-coupe since my solara loaner was so un-inspiring...and fell in love with it immediately. Well ya know...the rest is history...

Re: *** Head Count of Former ACURA TL or CL Owners ***

I'm still a Honda fan right now we still have 2 accords and my daily drive 91 integra rs. I use to have a 95 legend I bought it used, I had 1 yr left pay when I blew a head gasket. Later I found out that the engine wasn't original anymore. The engine was replaced by an earlier model legend I think a 92 or 93. Apperently, the 94 - 95 model had a type 2 engine already a refined version of the older model engine. I was p/o to say the least then blowing the head gasket cause the car to overheat. The estimate on the repair was rediculously high. So I did a quick fix on the car which actually took the whole day to do, but it only cost me $10. Cleaned it afterwards and went to buy my TL-S the next day. I was loving the car until things started happening to it even in brand new condition. Front left shock absorber was defective started making a noise at 700 miles the dealer told me it was leaking. Cam seal was defective started leaking oil at 3k miles then the radiator hose came off for some reason. Rotors had to be resurfaced at 6k because steering wheel was shaking everytime you stepped on the brake. It did it again before I got rid of the car at 14k miles. I finally got tired of it and told the wife let's get rid of this bucket and get something else. So now I am a proud owner of a 04 G35 Coupe this will be my first nissan car so I don't know yet what to expect. I hope I will have better luck on this car than my previous one.
