Re: DEC/JAN NEXT ENORMOUS MEET!

first,i want to say.SOCALTED it's nothing against you.just an other suggestion.if this does'nt work out,it's allgood.i personaly feel malibu grand prix always hard to access.the area is crowded, especially on weekend.the parking lot is big but lots of peoples will park there also.i don't thing we can do anything about it.therefore we can't park together and there might not be enough parking spaces for us on that day.so,my suggest is in chino hills.on highway 71 right at chino ave. on ramp/off ramp, there's a parking lot that they use for carpool commute.it's empty on weekend.about 200 cars can park there.after the meet if we want to have lunch then there's a restaurant about 1 mile from the parking lot.the name is "pho 99 noodle & grill" their specialty is PHO (beef noodle) but there chow-mein,rice plates among other choices.for those who like fast food.there's carl's jr and Mc donald right near by in the same parking lot.parking at the restaurants is big enough for 200+ cars.inside seating is for 95 peoples.but i talked to the manager, he said he can bring more tables/chairs and set up for 110 peoples.but we have to let him know 1 or 2 weeks ahead so he can close the restaurant for us.from malibu grand prix to here is about 8-10 mi. of freeway drive farther for those who come from la area.but it's very much on the way to the cruise so you're not losing anything.by the way the glendora ridge road cruise looks very tempting to me.i go along with that.SO, the only down side with this is no video games, kart racing and mini goft.but at the last meet we did not have those either.for those who want to do that.we can get after the cruise, right? again, this is just an other suggestion.let hear some oppions peoples...

Re: DEC/JAN NEXT ENORMOUS MEET!

Or theres always the Puente Hills Mall parking, rights next to the AMC theater. Huge paking there, right off the freeway. And plus people can see us driving by the 60 fwy, we can get lots of attentions...
But this is just an suggestion, whoever is plan it can decide whichever is easy for them...

Re: DEC/JAN NEXT ENORMOUS MEET!

theres plenty of alternative parking lot options around mailbu speedzone. we could meet at the krispy kreme parking lot; it's fairly big, and right off the 60fwy. or the outer reaches of the costco or target parking lot, or we could meet at diamond plaza off the fullerton road exit on the 60 fwy and show up all the ricers there! it doesnt usually get crowded til about 630 or 7 pm, plenty of food options there as well..

Re: DEC/JAN NEXT ENORMOUS MEET!

ha! never taking over, just taking intiative. Doesn;t look like anybody likes the Yearbook idea....good cuz I was thinking twice about the work involved!

Just used the docs to create your own profile and bring them to the meet!

hey, wherever we meet is fine with me!

Re: DEC/JAN NEXT ENORMOUS MEET!

The Puente Hills Mall parking lot isn't a bad idea! There are lots and lots of parking...and there is parking by the fwy so spectators can see us...hehehe,
We might even get some spectators to come on over.

Re: DEC/JAN NEXT ENORMOUS MEET!

SoCalTed... If you need help getting things going at Speedzone I'd be happy to pitch in. You know I have my ways. I'm sure we could get a Private party set-up. It would just take some planning and an early head count. I was actually thinking of this as a great place for a meet myself. My old roommate had his bachelor party there (well that's where it started) and they do pretty well with large party events.

P.S.
For those who care. I drive a Silver Sedan 6MT CA license plate "KRZ HAYN" = "Krazy Hawaiian". A "Shaka" is always welcome.

Re: DEC/JAN NEXT ENORMOUS MEET!

Tinman I know exactly where this is at. I wish we can have the meet here instead of the Industry location. Less people and better fwy access. There is a new strip mall in this area lots of places to eat and big enough parking lot for everyone. You people might want to consider this site. The thing about the Puente Hills mall area is that access is very difficult. Weekday or weekend traffic is all the same and I'm sure you guys are planning around 10 - 11am meet. Plenty of traffic activity by that time.

Re: DEC/JAN NEXT ENORMOUS MEET!

nah, I prefer Pho #'s 42, 44, 51 and 75 through 93 as well as 88, 99, 888, 898, and 999. I think the best is Pho 54, although 73 ain't bad either. but that's just my opinion..

If Pho doesn't work out, how about eating at that chinese place...Golden something or other. Or how about that Seafood ....something or other... dang, I just can't remember that place. You know the one in that shopping center with bad parking and they clean the tables with your left over tea, with waiters that ignore you until its time to pay the bill - then they mill around like sharks in a feeding frenzy pretending to act surprised when you put the $$ down.

LOL, Ted
