I am moving to Vegas on April 15, and I just got word from work that all this is happening. I am going crazy trying to sift through all the different apartment complexes - what's nice, and what to avoid. My G and I will be moving to the Green Valley/Henderson area. Do you know of any amazing condos/apartments and could you give me a heads up on who puts up the front but really is just horrible?

 

I'm moving to Las vegas this week.

I'm moving to a house just south of I-215 and Just West of I-15...right off Decatur.

Green valley is a pretty nice area. The further north you go the more sketchy some of the neighborhoods become.

 

Toolbooth you are moving close to my almamater of Western High that area is ok as long as you stay west of Rancho.
Nova, Green valley is a fairly new part of Henderson so just try and find a nice gated complex. (houses are cheap!)
I left Vegas 26 Years ago for a 6 year stint in the USAF ended up in Cali. But most of my family (Mom - Sis etc.) still live there so I am up there alot. good luck to both of you.

Stay out of the WEST SIDE!!! and off of E. Fremont unless your into drug and hookers..

 

I'm down in Enterprise. Not up towards the north. South of the whole 215 W loop.

Off Decatur and Warm Springs

What parts of the west side are you saying to stay out of? I've been through a lot of stuff that is WEST that is good stuff. Most of that is around the 215 W area.

Stuff around the 15 seems pretty sketchy and moving more towards the east seems to be really run down. Hookers and Drugs.

 

Down south near Henderson is pretty nice. Don't go to the NE side of Vegas towards the base. It's awful. Really the whole valley is riddled with problems, but Henderson seems to be relatively ok.
