fuel gauge
Unplug the harness on the fuel pump and read resistance across pins 2 and 5. Resistance changes from 3-80 ohms depending on how much fuel is in the tank, read the resistance with a full tank, then drive it till 50% and measure again, half tank should be about 40 ohms, then drive until your gas gauge stops, get that reading, drive more and see if the ohms reading continues to change.
If the ohms stays the same the problem is the value being sent from the pump, if the ohms DOES change as you continue to use fuel all the way down to pretty much empty then the problem is likely your combination meter which is very common on these vehicles.
