This is just wrong...

I got accepted into UCLA as a transfer student next Fall and as it turns out... parking is limited! There's a chance that I won't be able to take my G to school. This totally sucks seeing that I'm paying monthly payments on it and won't be able to enjoy it. Plus, I'll be away from it for extended period of times.

This totally blows!

Talk to or find an upper classman who doesn't have a car, or doesn't need a space...I'm sure they'll let you buy it from them

Congrats Wen. Are you staying on campus, or commuting? Think positive.
1. don't run miles on it
2. no dings from other cars.....(trust me, campus parking sucks.)
3. save money on gas.
4. there are the weekends or short drives to Starbucks

I go to UCLA...I dont think u wanna park yur car here...I heard a lot of cars get broken into or stolen and the G is an attention grabber...sometimes on the weekends I bring my car up but I wouldn't leave it in a parking lot everyday...

Don't drive your new car there. The car criminal rate there is pretty high.

Are you living on campus or commuting? Your car should be fine during the day in a commuter lot.

Congrat. on getting into UCLA! I agree with every one, campus is not very car friendly. Not to mention that West LA is very strick on car equipment, you would definitely get a fix-it ticket for no front license plate.

Thanks for the congrats !

I'm going to be staying at UCLA apartments right across the street from the school. I guess I wanted a car because I will have to find a part time job when I'm there to pay for the car and wanted to drive to work. But I guess I can always ride the bus.

Never thought of things in this whole new perspective. Don't want anything to happen to my beautiful G and I definitely don't want to end up putting a front license plate.

Thanks for all the input!

Well, StrictlyZ is supposed to be offering the plate holders that mount to the front tow bolt bracket soon. That's a nice, non-damaging, temporary way to mount a front plate.
