HAWAII LABOR DAY CRUISE/BBQ
Re: LABOR DAY CRUISE UPDATE AUG 21, 03
yeah can't sleep ... haha i am tweeking tonight ... rstart, we just want to use a route that differs from everyone elses. It gets boring going on the same route everytime. That is why it is called "cruise", so we can just relax and take a drive with the least amount of stress.
Re: LABOR DAY CRUISE UPDATE AUG 21, 03
Work afternoons next couple of days so gotta stay up late or the whole day is wasted by the way how much of a problem are safety checks around here? (my 4runner has always been legal so not a problem b4)
Re: LABOR DAY CRUISE UPDATE AUG 21, 03
was going to do the front too but only down to the legal mark on the windshield looking for clearbra too but haven't seen it advertised around here too much

"Boy, make a suggestion and this is the thanks I get."
Don't get mad, I just said it as a suggestion.
Suggestions are always great, but we asked for over a month and no one responded. And we did listen to a few of your suggestions, we are meeting near the gardens, actually right behind it, and we are using your suggestion of the two-way radio. But like I said before no one made any comments when we posted a rough draft of the route.
So we decided to make a route we thought would be the easiest to keep the cruise together. The two-way radios are a great suggestion and we are going use it, but staying on a multi-lane freeway is a much easier way to keep the group together then on a single lane and having to stop and pull over and regroup, instead we can just drive a bit slower and wait for the others to catch up, this way we spend more time driving then waiting. Sometimes the fastest route from point A to point B isn't a straight line.

Re: LABOR DAY CRUISE UPDATE AUG 21, 03
Ok, now!!! Suggestions are always a big help to us. Im glad Mdnt cleared that up.
Anyway, one more week guys and Im still getting RSVP's, plus I got another 4 more to show up that were at the cruise. 2 Z's and 1 G coupe. Thanks to Kita for an awesome job on his G! Im sure, he should place at this show.
Handhelds are ready! Food is ready! Route is a GO! Just doing some last minute preps on the route. Norfolks has been going through some road work, so I CAUTION ALL, DONT keep up with the car in front of you if you cant handle the turns. Lots of loose gravel on the road. Drive at your own pace! BTW, I did another dry run on the route. WATCH FOR THE COPS. They were out in force, lasering motorists. Especially, the Waimanalo and Enchanted Lakes area. Be careful on the throttle.
To those of you who have replied to me with your attendance, Thank you! We look forward to seeing everyone at the cruise. For those who havent, please send in your replies by the end of this week Friday. The more, the merrier.
Aloha to all

Re: LABOR DAY CRUISE UPDATE AUG 21, 03
what are the counts so far? How many Z's and G's? Are we going to exceed the 26 from the last time? It will be very interesting I think.
As CBR600RR and mdnt mentioned, everything is moving and things are looking good. Talk about some prep work for this day. Only one more week to go.
Hows everyone coming along in working on their cars?
See everyone there.

Either Friday (anytime, I'm off with my wife), or Saturday preferrably in the mid to late afternoon (gotta give my time to take off my Zaino ). What's this about?

Just a little briefing of what has been done and small minor details of thing that might be forgotten on the day of the cruise. That way, we all get a heads up briefing with times, route, and other planning as well. Plus, Rstark, you can bring your radios to see if they would work w/Nissan's.
Thanks to all of you who have contributed in making this event possible. Without you guys and this forum, we would have never gotten to where were at now. Aloha and Mahalo!!
Here is a new updated Flyer!! Sorry, tried to keep it as plain as possible. Tell me if this one needs enhancing.
