Re: LABOR DAY CRUISE UPDATE AUG 11, 03
rstark,
If I am not mistaken, it will be more of an early dinner. We are planning to end at Infiniti around 4 ish and food will be provided. What we have yet to decide though, is should we cook or cater. Personally I would lean to the catering side only because of the time and potential amount of people that might be coming in. We are expecting an amount of 350Z owners to be there as well.
Like CBR600RR has asked, could all that plan on attending, please send over a rough head count so that nobody starves out there and we dont have to go and do a Zippy's run.
Thanks to all.

Re: LABOR DAY CRUISE UPDATE AUG 11, 03
I sent out another flyer concerning the upcoming Labor day cruise. To all who received emails from me, please be kind enough to return an RSVP no later than next week Wednesday.
XLR8SN and myself are meeting this week with Infiniti's GM with regards to head count and food. As we're not sure if were cooking it ourselves or catering, I would have lean towards catering or doing the "Zippy's Meals To Go" due to time constraints for usage of Infiniti's lot.
I would like to mention that this will be a NON-ALCOLHOLIC event due to liability concerns for usage of Infiniti's property.

Agreed. The catering path might be the better way to go. Only because by the time the cruise is done, I would be hungry and waiting for the food might be rough.
As far as the RSVP,...uhmmmmm,..CBR600RR,...I will be coming. LOL.
Anyhow, yes, due to liabilities, please NO ALCOHOLIC beverages.
Drive safely,.....and let us know please.
Thanks

Is there going to be a cost for lunch?
Also, does anyone belong to a club that provides insurance for social events so that the organizers and its participants cannot be held liable for any mishaps? I had this for the S2000 cruises (provided by the S2000 Club of America), and although we never had any mishaps, it gave me (the organizer) and the participants a peace of mind. Note that it does not replace driver's car insurance, just added protection for the entire group.

No, there will not be a cost to lunch.
As far as a club organization,...I do not think that there is an organization for Infiniti per se. So to answer your question bluntly, everybody has to be careful and carry their own insurance. To be honest, never knew such policies were around. However, unless there is a policy on the Z clubs that covers Infiniti owners as well,...like I mentioned, everybody needs to be careful of what they are doing. Good point though. Just I do not think that it exists for the Infiniti owners as of yet.

I forgot to mention to everyone who posts on this board.
If you are attending this event and RSVP'd, please resend head counts with your name, pax name, phone #, and/or email address for the possibility of future events. This way it will be easier for us to contact you. Or please post your thread in the Honolulu Email list.
Mahalo nui loa!

Things are looking up. Just had an informal meeting with Steve(GM) @ Infiniti this morning and a few things were done. The ordering of shirts, hats, and visors were completed. Hopefully, the visors will get done before the weekend of the cruise.
Food is being catered, drinks are still be worked on by myself, Z club has been informed and still waiting on word as to "how many" will be showing up *ahem* (Hide's Nismo Z and a much talked about Hawaii's only Procharger Z). Also, prizes have been set and the route has been editted from the prior posting of the flyer.
New route:
Moanalua Intermediate to H-3 Kbay lookout, rest stop
H-3 south to Honolulu to Kalama Valley, rest stop
Kalama Valley to Norfolks, rest stop
Norfolks to Koolau Golf Course, rest stop
KGC to H-3 to Infiniti Hawaii, Free GRINDS!!!!
Infiniti designed and printed polo shirts provided to owners of registered vehichles. Black polos w/ shimmering silver lettering sizes M-XXL. And a G35 design is being sought! For now, G35 Hawaii group will be designated as "G!"
Prizes are being worked on for both sets of cars. In order to win, you must sign in at the beginning of the cruise.
Be there!!

Headcount so far, I have at least 5 or 6 Z owners that have committed to the event. And at least, 14 G35 owners as well. A total of 30+ heads including passengers.
XLR8SN, Fred instant messaged me today with news about the hand helds, Nissan will let us borrow them. And Hide's and Thom's car's will be there. Woohoo, Procharger and Nismo Z.
To all G35 Hawaii owners, I know there are more G owners lurking the post from Hawaii. Dont be shy, come out and support us. We will be having giveaways and lots of food. Come down and talk to other enthusiasts. You do not want to miss this event.
