Hit & Run in Parking Lot

I was wondering if anybody in the Sacramento area know of any good body shops. My car was hit in the parking lot today! I can't believe that people would actually leave the scene after something like that, I really hope they DIE.....
Does anybody know if I put in a claim thru my insurance, would my insurance go up, any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. One more thing how much do you think that this damage would cost to repair?

Thanks,

eqAL1zer

Re: Hit & Run in Parking Lot

I chased down a hit & run driver and got a bunch of $hit on the forum about doing the right thing see "G35 as cop car" I bet you would have loved for me to follow. Sorry I was not there or I would have helped

Re: Hit & Run in Parking Lot

Hit and Run doesn't make your insurance go up. Since it wasn't your fault. It would be most likely taken care by your insurance company. That's what you pay for any way, if you don't ever plan to collect money from the insurance you shouldn't pay for it then. I see it as breaking even. Pay them $2k a year and get back $2k a year thats sounds good to me. Other wise it'll be $2k x 10 years = $20,000 that you give to the insurance co and never collect a dime back. =)

But any way getting back to the hit and run. It should be covered under uninsured motorist or collision possibly vandalism, not sure which one. But of course the pain in the *** is that you have to pay your deductible.

Re: Hit & Run in Parking Lot

Carriers can't raise your rates for making a simple comp or collision claim.

I keep my deductibles low for this very reason.

I'd skull crack the cowardly s.o.b., **** down his throat, and put him down American History X style.

COMPTON STOMP THAT ****!

My silver coupe was hit and run in the same spot..but much worse than yours. They will have to repaint the entire quarter panel. Mine was $1,700.
