Can we fit 19"by9.5" rims in the rear?
I was just wondering if anyone knows if we can fit a 19by9 or 19by9.5 in the rear of a G35 sedan. I called a couple of California shops to see if it can be done, I am going to call them Monday for an answer. But in the meantime I was wondering if anyone here had any information.I read in a prior post that 19by8.5 will rub but Bozak has 19by8.5s with no issues. I think it will all come down to offset. TIA!
Edited by G35on19s on 09/15/02 07:57 AM.

possible if you go 245/19/35's with the correct offset...
9's but not 9.5's...
but why would anybody want to go and extra half an
inch in the back??? you are far better off being able
to rotate your tires than having to consistently replace
tires because of early tire wear... 19's aint cheap...
not to mention we arent driving a gs400 nor a
540 which has more torque...

19x9.5 will fit easily. i've seen 18x9/45mm wheels on the sedan before and there's TONS of clearance in the rear. in fact, going with a larger diameter wheel will even give you a bit MORE clearance because of the way the components back there are angled.

Well then that is good news if we can do it. Now we just need someone to get a set os 19by9s and get them in the back
. I want the wide wheel in the back purely for the look that is all
I think a 19by9 with a 3 inch lip will look nice in the rear of a G35s. The problem is I am looking a at JDM wheels, so if I order them and wait a month or so for them to be shipped over if they will not fit I am stuck.

quote] Bozak, your car is super-clean...Any rubbing or other fitment problems? I'm assuming your car isn't lowered or anything..

no rubbing at all, and it wont rub once i put on my
eibach springs... checked the clearance... i saw where
somebody said they can get 19x9.5's in the rear,
i'll believe it when i see it... not to mention having a
three inch lip... my OZ supers have about an inch and
a half lip on them, if they were another half inch bigger
they would rub...

I was thinking 245/40/19 in the front, and 255/40/19 in the rear. But is there a big difference or should I just pick one so I can be able to rotate my tires? Whatcha think?

most likely the 255 40's will rub... now that i have the
springs on my car im positive it will rub... there is just
not enough room to stagger the back unless you are
willing to roll your fenders... not to mention that going
255 is not that big a difference... why not have it so you
can rotate your tires... you will save a grip of money...

dyen & bozak,
I'm talking about the coupe, which comes with:
225/45/18 front
245/45/18 rear
So you guys don't think 255 won't fit on the back? So you guys are suggesting 245/40/19 all the way around? Thanks alot guys.

I am looking at the Advan Seina Generation 2. Also the new Racing Hart C4 and ROJA Model 5. I am getting my car November 13th so I will decide soon
The lip on a 19by10 Advan is SICK I saw them on a 240 at the Brockton Mass show WOW.
