Please give your advice....

So i recently had a flat tire and the tire completely ripped apart. i have a 2003 g35 sedan. my stock tires were 215/55/R17. i went to the tire shop and got me 4 used BridgeStone Potenza's RE92 225/50/R17 tires. I would like to know HOW GOOD are these tires? And i would also like to know if i made a mistake getting the tires with the different numbers? (215 increased to 225 and 55 decreased to 50) What do these numbers mean? and is it better with the new tires i got or should i have gotten the same numbers as the old tire (215/55) please let me know. also, should i get a wheel alignment or tire balance? also when i drive over 50 mph the wheel slightly vibrates/shakes.....what can be the cause of this? a bent rim? or is it cuz of the tires? please help thank you.
