Well heres my situation.. I found a G35 that is almost 2 years old, 27k miles.. guy wants 25,990 for it.. premium package, aero kit, etc... its coming from a dealership. I looked at the car on Saturday and noticed the back tires in the center are like worn down to nothing... obviously the car had some fun but being a sports car and having 27k miles and still another 2 years of warranty.. I figure nothing big to worry about? or am I being stupid there. Car is immaculate pretty much so I dont think it was just kicked and abused. The car is really clean except for this.

I told the dealer I would want new tires.. he just called me and said his boss said we will make a deal... he will knock money off the car so I can go and buy new tires... so how much should I have them knock off... and what kinds of tires should I get? Realistically how much does a decent tire cost for the G coupe, I know he wont want to give me 500 off.. so whats a realistic price for a decent tire.

Thanks guys,
Chris

if the wheels are 18 which most likely they will be, then i will go ahead and say that for good tires you are going to pay are a little over 500. I would go for some Dunlop Direzza's. 225 in front and 245 in rear. They are a great performance tire, very smooth, and also very quiet. Best tire for our cars i think! ask them to knock off 550 if you can.

My dealer tried to sell me the OEM Pilots, and I would assume all dealers sell those. Just call an ask what four new tires are and have them knock that off the price. $500 won't cover the two rear tires.

I would go with BFGoodrich KDW T/A 2,s if you don't mind noise, they're a little loud.

Possibly T1R's they're pricy but not as bad as pilot.

Dunlop fm901's are also very good. Very reasonable price.
