Is it unusual that my front tires are worn before my rears?

Kinda confused on this one. i figure my rears should wear out first, but i had an alignment done 3000 miles ago at 18000 miles. went in for an oil change and had them inspect everything and they told me my fronts are wearing on the inside and soon need to be replaced.

When i had the alignment done nothing was mentioned about the fronts wearing down. Is it possible they f'd up the tires from the alignment. When i got the car back originally the steering wheel was off center and they did come and pick the car up and make it true.

Any thoughts if the poor alignment job from the dealer caused the premature wear on the fronts?

Thanks guys

your front tires may have feathered which causes premature wear. it is unusual that the fronts wore faster than the rear.

I ran my OEM 19's for some 18K miles plus prior to switching to new wheels and rubber. The front tires still have at least 40% or so left in them. The rear tires are done.

not lowered, my suspension is stock....the dealer actually told me when he did my alignement that he would lower the camber so my tires would wear more evenly...obviously not the case

Just drive your car a little harder, you'll start wearing out the outside of your tires in no time.

Is there enought tread that you can rotate/swap tires on the front rims? It's a lot cheaper than buying a brand new set of tires.

I hate to waste a whole tire when the tread is showing signs of inside wear only.
