On my 04.5 coupe I have 245/40-18 front and255/45-18 rear..BFG KDW-2...love the combo...

I think the 245/45 on the front would be to large a diameter.

yes you can put 245/45 on the front and it is less than 1/2" difference from stock on the diameter. In fact I believe that the 245/45 is the closest you can get to stock in a 245 tire but don't quote me on that one.

check this thread..I researched the diameters and came up with the 40 profile as the best diameter match on the front (coupe that is...can't say for the sedan)

You know, we have a problem here. Most posters when talking wheels and tires, don't specify Sedan or Coupe. Answers to questions are completely different, and I believe the above two different answers (while both are true) prove this point. Posters need to specify.

Many times, I'm tempted to jump into a thread, only to figure out the poster is talking about a sedan.

I agree. That's why I always specify what i'm talking about even if the poster does not.

Can you post pictures of the entire car side. I want to see how proportional it looks.

Changing the OE ratio between the front and rear tire circumference may affect the VDC operation. Most sources quote 3% as the maximum change.

I recommend you putting 255/40/18 for the rear ones.

This thread is a similar problem I'm trying to figure out. I'm close on purchasing an 07 G35X and would like the 18 perf. tire/wheel package. To my knowledge, there isn't an advertised package available from Infiniti but I thought perhaps I could use the rear wheels of the perf. wheel package (18" x 8.5") on all four wheels. This would allow the use of 245/45 tires which is the closest diameter to the stock 225/55/17 package. Does anybody know if the 50mm offset on 18" x 8.5" rear wheel would interfere with the front suspenion / hub of an 07 G35X? I guess the next question would be if a 245/45 tire up front would interfere likewise. The stock 17" x 7.5" wheels have 45mm offset so I'm not sure if this would a problem. My local dealer technicians didn't know. Any insight on this.....?

Thanks
