Hey guys. It's time to replace the stock Turanza tires on my G35 Sedan (which have horrible tread life by the way!). I have the 6 sp so I have the 18 in. rims. Now the question: Should I go with the stock tire size of 235/45/18 or with 245/40/18? The latter size has many more options but I dont want it to mess with the odometer and so forth. So what's the general consensus on this or if anyone has first hand experience.

Thanks!

Check out this site to see how far off the different size would be:

A smaller sidewall will help with cornering but you will feel the road and bumps a little more.

Just make sure and keep your front/rear size as close as possible.

From my experience stay with the OEM, your car will ride rougher, road noise increases, fuel economy decreases. Performance may increase due to larger contact patch.

I'm going with the Kumho Ecsta SPT
235/45R-18 98W XL B for $648.50 out the door price at Discount. Will look for a better deal but that's okay for a Z Rated Tire. Read good reviews on this one also.
