It was not driven from DC to NC. It was taken on a truck (so they say). I measured the tread and its ~7mm (0.275") fr and rr. We now have 1200 miles on the car. I stuck a small metric scale into the tread and then ran another scale across the tred to get a measurement.

If it really does have 9/32 (7.14mm) then I am fine. Just looks thin. If soccer guy is right, then its a little used up, but not horrible.

I guess I am paranoid?

get one of those tire tread gauges and you should be able to tell

looks normal to me... the 19's don't have much tread like everyone said

you're not paranoid, i thought the same thing when i actually took the wheels off the car.

Yeah, i used up my potenzzas that came with the car in about 3000 miles.
