Time for New Tires!!

Well, I got almost 26K out of my Pilot Sports on my 2003 coupe but now its time to replace them. I've asked this before, but I wanted to see if anyone had any new opinions on replacement tires. I want to stick with a great handling tire but am weary of the tire noise that my PS's have had for the last few thousand miles. What tire would you guys recommend that has decent tread life, performs great, but is quieter?

check out discount tire and tirerack for their tire ratings. BFG KDW II and Toyo T1R are popular on here. the more tread life the louder. softer means less tread life, stickier and quieter.

Has anyone tried putting 255/45R-18's on the rear of a 6spd coupe?
