Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart

What would be the optimum wheel size/offset/ tire sizes for putting 20's on a stock sedan with no rubbing?

"I am going with the SSR GT1 18" wheels, 9" rear and 8" front."

Exactly the setup I'm now looking at, did you get it yet? How is it? What tires did you get?

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart

I think he means the twin turbo (according to his sig anyway).

Quick question tho...I'm looking at a set of Volk LE37T's, specs are:
19x8.5 245/35 Front
19x9.5 275/40 Rear
Offset is +22

I didn't see this offset on the chart, but do you guys think it'll fit? I'm not familiar w/ offsets, but it sounds like as long as I'm under 38mm I should be ok, is this right? I haven't dropped my car yet, but may drop it about 1.2 to 1.5 inches in the future.

NO! That won't fit. Those will stick out like crazy. Anything 38 or higher (in number) will fit in the rear. In the front you can't go as far because of the suspension member.

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart

To all,
Boones' hosting my updated chart at his site (www.g-owners.com) here

To those whom have been PM'ing me with wheel fitment questions ... sorry if I haven't gotten around to answering them all, but I get bomb'd by wayyyy too many questions on a daily basis. Sometimes I will hesistate to offer advice if I'm not at least 98% certain of the outcome. It seems many of you guys here are doing a great job support others as well

For all of you's reference, I will be running the following setup:
F: 19" x 8.0" (+38) on 245/35-19
R: 19" x 9.0" (+45) on 275/30-19

They will be VDC friendly and should work out nicely with a * *1.5-inch* * drop.

I test ran the Z 17" wheels (also referenced in the new chart) and they look spetacular with approx. 1.5" of drop. You'll notice my above choices came as no coincidently close to those Z wheel measurements.

Enjoy!

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart

What is the smallest numerical offset anyone out there is running on a 17x8? I'm looking at a 245/45/17 Falken Azenis on a 17x8 and want the widest track possible without rubbing.

Thinking somewhere around 30mm is going to be the smallest offset I can go, but I'm just guessing based on the cool chart provided.

Thanks!

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart

If you try an offset less than +40 with an 8-inch rim on a 245 width tire, I can *guarantee* that the outer edge of the tire will touch the inside of the rear fender if the car ever goes over a big enough bump.

Whether or not that bothers you is another story.

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart

This is from personal experience? Another poster had some data suggesting 30mm would work in back, but 40 was the smallest he'd go in front...

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart

With this setup you're running:
F: 19" x 8.0" (+38) on 245/35-19
R: 19" x 9.0" (+45) on 275/30-19

Would this also work with 8.5" front and back or would you recommend a different setup. I would like to have the look of the silver sedan by Giovanni. Also if I order the rims and tires online, do I need to specify the offset or is that something that can be handled when I get them mounted?

thanks in advance

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart

THX723,
I'm gonna be running 19x9 and 19x8 rims. What tires do you think I should go for. I don't really wanna be sitting on "rubber band"..You think 255/40/19's will work all around?.Any ideas?

Thanks
