f'd up my rear rim!

well, i finally did it. it was saturday night and i had been driving all day sat. not to mention i only got 2 hours of sleep. i was making a u turn at an interesection and didnt go out far enough before making the turn. my rear tire scrapped and went over the center divider curb!

i checked it in the parking lot and saw gash marks along the bottom of the passanger door, a messed up sidewall of the rear tire, and a piece of lip from my rear rim missing! its like a small chipmunk had bitten a piece off it! damnn i'm so pissed at myself! sheer stupidity and lack of attention. cant believe i didn't pay enough attention to what i was doing. I thought i had cleared the curb..but didn't. Man this sucks! now i kinda have the feeling im not going to take good care of my car and rims as i use to. (sigh) well, i'll get some pics up soon as i can. dannnm.

Sorry to hear that.

If it makes you feel any better to not be alone I trashed three of my rims one night a little over a year ago.

Not that I know of. You need a pro for that kind of work.

Yeah, I heard good thing about Velvet Touch. My buddy G is getting his 19" coupe rims repair there. The tire shop scratched all 4 of his rims. At least the tire shop is paying for it.
